New North American Research to Reveal How Sustainability Professionals Are Navigating Uncertainty
UN Global Compact Networks in Canada, Mexico, and the USA, in partnership with GlobeScan, to present findings from tri-national study on September 10
TORONTO, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On September 10, 2026, the UN Global Compact Networks in Canada, Mexico, and the USA, in partnership with GlobeScan, will host a virtual launch event presenting findings from a new tri-national study, Leading Through Uncertainty: The Evolving Role of Sustainability Professionals in North America.
The research examined where organizations are sustaining momentum, where leadership is most needed, and what credible sustainability practice looks like in the current environment.
The full findings will be presented virtually on September 10, 2026. following which the complete report will be available to download.
Among the findings to be presented:
- Only one in ten sustainability professionals expect their organization's ambition to decrease, while most expect it to increase, remain stable, or become more targeted.
- 76 percent identify the ability to connect sustainability to business value as a crucial capability for leadership.
- 61 percent say embedding sustainability into strategy and capital allocation should be a priority, signaling a shift toward deeper business integration.
